The tundra brake upgrade is still the best thing I have done to my runner since I bought it.
It's been two years since and my pads still have plenty of life.

There's two kits on Amazon that a few have picked up. One is Powerstop, the other is this one (that I just picked up):

These are remanufactured calipers (that's stamped with the 13WL) and people have had good results with them. Some suggest to change the pads to a better quality though due to dust.
Yeah I've got a powerstop kit on my '00 Chevy. Front and rear complete kits. Did it along with new front hub bearing assy's (bad ABS sensor). Replaced those with new timken bearings. I've been pretty pleased with it so far.

I hear a lot of good things about Powerstop. I went the other way because they were about $50 cheaper and it got under my skin that Powerstop couldn't even post the correct picture of the calipers they were selling.
I'm kind of stupid that way. Hope it doesn't bite me in the butt! :moon:

IDK, I think new LBJ's should be #1, radiator #2 and TBU #3. I am uber happy with the Tundra Brake Upgrade though, totally worth it!

Have you ever experienced a warped rotor, and when you had it turned it was strait as a arrow? Or........are you one of the Google search Regergitaters?
Notice comments like this never get any replies? My rotors have always been warped. Period!

yes, hundreds of times. I probably see it 2-3 times a week.
on the vehicle, pulsating brakes, "warped rotor". yet when I throw the rotor on the lathe, its perfectly straight. give it a light cut, and buff, and no more pulsation.
they are not warped, PERIOD!

I completely agree. A shop owner explained to me why they call it warped rotors.
The rotor is not warped but the surface is. Due to the brake pad material not being even. I guess you could still call it a warped rotor since the face of the rotor is "warped". I was like I guess I will take that as an answer.
You can fix them with just sand paper. Clean them up and good to go.

Do you think a rotor at room temp when your cutting it can have a different shape at 600 degrees?

at 600? possibly. but, whether cold, or hot, they pulsate. I think 600 would be on the extreme end.
further, I have cut HOT rotors straight off the car, not room temp by any means. so hot, gloves were required to handle them.
I used to think the way you do, I thought the "not warped" story was BS. but after personally seeing it more times than I can count, im convinced.
also, I have personally seen for sure warped rotors(they were cut crooked on the lathe) have ZERO pulsation on the vehicle.
the "better" brakes we(as a society) use, the more often we see pulsation. ever since ceramic brakes became the norm, there are more cases of pulsation, and much less of squeaky brakes. its ben a trade-off.
