Rough Country 9000 with OME 881's

I found these rough country struts they are fairly cheap for a pair they said they work with OME 880 and 881's I was wondering if anybody has this setup or any other thoughts on the matter.

I am trying to keep my lift on the cheap and this is the last thing I need not trying to dump a ton of money on a lift. I was able to source used springs from a member and rear shocks.

Well with no reviews or input I bit the bullet and ordered them, Dan at wheelers offroad said they work great and use this combo alot. We shall see hopefully I can talk my wife into having the lift installed while I am deployed otherwise I have to wait until Aug when I get back.

I have them with 883s and an ARB bumper and Warn winch (extra 160 lbs). I have about 25K miles on them with no issues. They ride well and work off road too.

Awesome, I was a little worried about them to be honest. but I can't bring myself to spend $300 on OME struts considering I have over 220k miles on the 4Runner now.

Have you put these shocks on yet? I'm wondering how they are performing for you. I ordered the rears today for my 97.

Rc nitro 9000 front struts & shocks

I have both front and rear nitro 9000's. Im running 881's w/top plate for 3" lift in front & toytec super flex coils in rear. IMO they work good for me, especially for the price. Wheelers has quality stuff. The rear shocks are also long travel. .. they actually flex nicely!

I'm running the RC 9000 and ome 891 and RC n2.0 and ome 883. I love them. They have taken everything I've thrown at them and they're cheap.

Well, I'll let you know how they are. I ordered a set and just got confirmation that they shipped today. Prob have them on next week, though based on feedback...seems like a good match with OME coils.

any updates here? Particularly looking for reviews on how the rears hold up over time. $80/pair is nice, but not if I'm replacing them every year. I don't wheel, just light trails.

I'm up to 28K on mine (front), probably about 500 miles of Forest Service roads (not known for being smooth or forgiving on vehicles). No problems.

I'm running LC 7 7/8 wraps with Monroe Gas Magnum shocks. Not high dollar or snobby, but they work well, ride well, and have held up well. They have the same miles as the front.

I know this is old, but just to get this right you are running the RC 9000 with the ome 891 coils for the back end. Then on the front end you got the RC n2.0 with ome 883 coils? Anyone else have experience running this combo on their T4r?
