rubbing in the rear

I have the toytec ultimate 3" lift with nitto terra grapplers. here is my truck at full rub in the back and a added flex shot at the same time. My question is will longer bumstops help this and are there any side effects to doing that as far as articulation. I know that I need to take off the mud flap but originally I was only going to cut the bottom of it off. but it appears that I need to take the whole thing off. Is it not a good idea to leave that hole there after taking off the rear mudflap? I would like to avoid cutting the rear of the fender well if at all possible.

typically its just a good idea to remove the flaps while wheeling to prvent breaking them. so it might be in your favor to not trim keep the benefits of them on road and then take them off when off roading. extended bump stops will prevent the tire from crushing into wheel well as far but you have to understand the thought process once your axel is pushing up on the bump stop its now pushing your frame and body up as appose to letting the axel take the full angle of articulation your now transfering some of the angle into the fram and body. however if your axel has the ability to drop further on the oposing side then it can work out well. I know guys are using them with extend travel shocks on the rear setup with 35's and they seem to be happy with them I'm fixing to install a pare of extended bump stops an swap my OME shocks for OW 2.5 extend travel kit so i can let you know in a few weeks how they work out for me.

How hard does it rub?
Just a slight buff?
OR
Hard enough to tear off the flap?

Could you heat the area up (with a heat gun) and push/stretch it so it doesn't rub?

I took the truck out for a test run last weekend to see what rubs and this was the result. I am gonna take off the entire mudflap this weekend and see if it still rubs or how much. It doesn't appear to be pushing the bumper so i think the tire is just skimming the flap. I never felt any resistance and it didn't do any damage to the flap but not sure. But I wasn't sure about leaving the hole there after taking off the mudflap. If that is bad or if it matters.
