Rubbing noise/feel on brake pedal when steering

Hi all.

I'm trying to hunt down a new noise and feel. Whenever I turn my steering wheel, I can feel and hear a bit of rubbing on my brake pedal. From what is visible in the cab, there is no contact between the steering column and the brake pedal contraption, so it must be something happening on the other side of the firewall/floorboard.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

At any speed. Even when parked. I did some more snooping around on the forums, and it sounds like it might be that the steering shaft needs to be lubricated under the boot. It's somehow rubbing there on the boot, as it dries out, and that might be what I feel in the pedal, as it's all mounted to the same surface.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's definitely a physical scraping that I hear and feel on my brake-pedal-foot. Will see what's under the boot, and if lithium grease needs to be applied. Will report back.

I wonder if the steering ATF fluid is low and if the vibration you hear is due to that? Did you check the power steering fluid level hot or cold?

I think I found the culprit. See attached pic. The bottom part of the steering column seems to sit off-center in the "hole", and is scraping on the outside. Any thoughts?
