Keeping with the topic today. You guys decide for me.

I think off. It's cleaner, IMO. But also more naked. I think your color w/boards doesn't look too bad. White looks terrible.

The point to taking them off is to make it look lifted a little bit, and get clearance. But with your 4runner, I think it looks better with them ON.

With the wheels and tires you have, its more of a street look. And that with that look, running boards should be on.

I vote off. You have a sport and the great thing about the sport flares is that they're more rounded at the bottom than compared to the limited flares. It just makes it that much cleaner looking when they're off!

So what are you saying ripcord? I need new rims and tires?
Does this place make anyone else go broke? sheesh.
Fine. I'll get new rims and tires this week and report back.

The hell? How did you get that out of what I said?

I dont know if that's the look you are going for, but it looks like a street truck. Nothing wrong with that..

I say keep em....unless you plan on wheeling it??? They look good on your truck, if you don't wheel....keep em! Too many people ditch them just for the sake of ditching them....

When I bought my truck, I was actually a little disappointed it didn't have running boards! I ended up getting Nerf Bars because it was cheaper...and they looked good to me.

If I had a limited or a sport model, I'd leave them on. But I don't wheel mine very much.....

Coincidentally enough, i have been looking into getting nerf bars. They look better to me than running boards do. I figured whatever I got for these, I would put towards nerf bars. But then theres the whole wheel and larger tire requirement. Then theres the 2" body lift necessary., Then theres.....................

I voted on. IMO, they look better on if you aren't running an aggressive looking tire//preferably bigger than stock. Sliders also help..

I ran with mine off for a while, and thought it looked ok, but I put them back on this past summer.

If you do leave them off, invest in some mud flaps. The lower part of my door was not happy with my decision to take the boards off!

I agree with Ripcord. I think your runner looks good with them on. But, when you decide to take the plunge and upgrade a few things, take them suckers off and put on some sliders or something like that.
