weld them to the couch get a lift kit for the ottoman and go and hit some trails wooo hooo!
lol, sounds like me i had my lift kit in my garage for 6 months lol
if you're up north i could hook you up with a cheap weld job, we got a very very large shop with expert welders that like to do this sort of ting for a little extra cash every now and again ;-)

Hahahaha. That's a good idea. Never thought about that.
And I am looking for a shop! I have a set for a friend who lives in Bellingham too. How much to do the pair? I assume it would take a couple days? One to fit them and weld the feet on, paint and then weld them on?

Looks much better with them removed. The chrome fender flares are so tacky looking. I just don't associate "chrome" with "off road" just two things that don't go together. My suggestion would be to remove those as well and Herculine down the bottom of the doors and a good 3" around the fenders. I did my Limited fenders but I know there are some on here with no flares and Herculined to match the Limited lines and looks real good.

I still have the ones I yanked off of mine. Not sure if the silver would match, but if they do, you can have them.

I'd take mine off, but I have the black flares on there and with the running boards on it would look incomplete and weird IMO. Not to mention my dad has enough trouble getting in with running boards and a lift. :lmao:

yeah with the limited flares i think it looks better with the running boards as with all of the cladding and the large flares it looks naked without them, i don;t have any good pics of my truck since the lift and tires yet and sorry for the dog butt in the pic it's as good as i got at the moment

Well I dont partically like the runners with out flares the chrome isnt my favorite part of the truck too, are their other cheap flares out there, or could I just cover up the chrome somehow. Ill will check out what 4xinvations has, thanks a lot for all the feedback so far

Why does everyone hate on running boards and Nerf Bars? Not everyone is taking there rigs over big boulders........:roadkill:
I would have to agree though, that if you use your rig to do rockcrawling, than sliders would be a necessity, but if it's gonna spend more time on the pavement than on the trail........

I'm with you Fightman...and I think your rig looks really good with those chrome nerf bars on it. Back in the 70's and 80's, they were all the rage! And who says retro isn't cool? :thumb3: BTW, nice wheel/tire lift combination!

I know that not everybody is out driving over rocks or even goes off-road. But, if you are interested in off-roading, it is best to ditch the running boards. In the Pacific Northwest, there is rock crawling to do, for sure. But, we mostly have trails that are heavily forested, with mud and rocks scattered throughout. The first thing to get damaged is the running boards. And they don't protect the body really, either. I have seen them peel back and not only gouge the body panel, but really just make the vehicle more stuck than it should have been. Nerf bars are terrible. They are easily damaged. IMO, running boards ARE good for stock vehicles, shorter people, and kids. Oh, and for getting your pant legs dirty every damned time you get out of your vehicle. I ran no rocker panel protection at all for 12 years and have kissed a root or rock maybe 5 times as Toyota actually built their panels high. Sliders, or nothing.

That said, this necro is fortuitous, because I've been agonizing lately over how to mount sliders once i get my lift done this spring. The OPs pics show that mounting sliders in a running board position wouldn't look bad at all. With a short wife and two little ones, a little help up will be appreciated.
