the stock running boards? non at all? or custom, after market?

Reason i am "trying to" make this poll is to see what people like the most. i have the stock running boards on right now. i will be taking them off soon. but i do not know if i want to keep them off. or go with after market. i have a 4th gen. im not sure what the other gens came with.

:iagree:.......I actually like them. I am not a soccer mom, but i do work out of the house and keep our 4 year old twins. If i did not have them I would be constantly lifting them in the truck. My wife is short so she really likes having them. Plus i just like the way they look on my truck.....:trophy:

:iagree: Im not a soccer mom, and I'm 6' 5" so I don't even need them, I just think they're awesome when your parked in a dark spot and you hit unlock on the key fod, the whole truck lights up, makes me feel special hahaha

Gotta love the Limited.

It depends if your taking it offroad, city good weather and or a city in a big snowy state.. I live in Colorado and I take mine offroad.. So I dont wanna catch them on a snow drift nor on a boulder.. so if your the same I would say get slidders if your actually puttin them to work.. besides that dont waist the money.. big snowy state just take them off.. regular driving no bad wheather conditions and no 4wheeling? leave them on.

unless its SE running boards, replace it.

No running boards and people who complain about getting into the truck can walk instead.

Rock sliders are okay, I don't go off-roading seriously enough to need them. I like them though for protection without compromising the look.

lol how about no running boards because fat chicks can't jump! :D

Rock sliders - they have already seen hard use!

Applied several coats of bed liner. Easy to touch-up, and gives my Runner a great look.

I don't need them either and nor am I a soccer mom, I just really like the look of them. I did buy aftermarket ones for my SR5 and painted them to color match.
To each thier own :)

You never know when you'll need them - this was taken at Rausch Creek Pennsylvania. Notice the big rocks on the drivers side. If I didn't have the rock sliders - either the stock running boards would have folded like a house of cards, or the body would have taken the hit. The sliders did exactly what they were designed to do. I can say they've paid for themselves by saving a lot of body damage.

Here's the thing, my 4runner doesn't get to see big rocks like that :) I wish it did, but unfortunately it's all pavement.
