Rust Protection

I've heard that Toyota was/is offering rust protection including foam in the frame and underbody spray for certain Tacomas similar to the headlight oxidation issue on the current gen 4Runner. Has anyone heard if our 4Runners are being considered for this?

Well this sucks. I had a 2007 Tacoma that rusted to, in my opinion, an unsafe level for the frame to absorb crash impacts. I sued Toyota for a buy-back under CA lemon law after they denied me warranty service. Long story, but I lost the case. If they are now offering a warranty rust protection... that just sucks.

That's what it sounds like. My contractor was telling me about it. Don't know what generations of vehicles though. It's a concern for me as I live in MI, land of the salt.
