RUST!!!!ugh... removal??

I have a white 98 t4nr and on the rear window on the driver side i have like 3 rust stains that run from the window down. they look like surface stains that are coming from rust around the window somewhere. i know that i need to get rid of the rust itself but my question is what can i do to get the rust stain off my paint? any help would be great. thanks.

If the rust is only on the surface and it might just be a stain on the clearcoat, I would start with the least aggressive/abrasive method first by using a clearbar. If that doesn't get rid of it, then I would try polish and more aggressive/abrasive compounds.

Always start low and work your way up. The last alternative might be wet sanding. If you don't have experience with it, it would be best left upto a detailer or paint professional.
