Rusty Nuts

My OEM 4Runner lug nuts start rusting after about 2 yrs of service! That's crazy! I replaced a few last year at $5 each! Looking for suggestions for something better. Anyone got any ideas??

Living someplace where they don't salt the roads may be the only way to avoid "premature" corrosion or getting a set machined out of stainless ...

I have the OEM lug-nuts...and no rust what-so-ever. And while NH hasn't had much snow this year...in past years we've had our share of snow/salt.

Preventative maintenance is key. Dip your nuts in oil and rub it in at least once a week. Better yet, have your wife help you, working on the truck together is a great bonding experience.

But really we have no choice in New York, weather. We gotta just suck it up(or she has too), wash ur nutz after the road salts.
