The front plate covers the the front back to the oem skid over the Oil drain plug. I can't say whether it plays well with factory skids, but I would assume so since it uses the same bolt locations, just uses longer bolts. I replace front, transmission and transfer case at the same time. I highly recommend you do the lower link skids. They are the cheapest skid RCI sells and that is the place most susceptible to damage. I learned the hard way. Also consider getting a Fumoto Valve. Makes it much easier than taking off the plate each time for an oil change. Give Josh a call at RCI. They are very helpful.

Thanks for the insight! Yea I actually have the LCA skids from them already, but they don't seem to be playing very nicely with my factory skid, which I am using as an excuse to upgrade my front skid haha. I might just get the front skid and see how it plays out and then get the mid skid if I am concerned about losing both (if that does happen). Thanks again!

I had problems with the LCA as well and ended up putting a bead weld on them to hold them on. Not sure if you can tell from my pictures.

Wait you mean you had problems with them staying on? I am just having problems with them rubbing with the factory skid at full wheel lock and certain droop levels.

I didn't like the way they fit so I had a bead weld added to them. I haven't had any rubbing issues, but then again I have all aftermarket skids and LCA's plus body mount chop.

Oh okey dokey then. Yea they seem to fit fine for me, but I definitely need to get at least a front skid to get rid of this rubbing. I trimmed the front skid a bit, but even then it still rubs at full lock and sounds GOD awful.

DIY C02 Tank

Here's my DIY C02 Tank. Found an expired tank on Craigslist, went to trade it in for this 10Gallon tank at the local welding shop - certified for 6 years - added a 150lb regulator, hose and digital inflator - Total price - $170.55. Beats the PowerTank price!

12V and USB Power to the rear

Wired up some constant electrical power to the rear to keep the Dometic CFX 50W powered up while at camp. Will install the X2 Power Group 27F AGM battery this week. Hooked up this BlueSea Fuse Block to the Fuse Box with some 4AWG cables and then ran some 12AWG wire to the back. Also ran the positive cables for the HID headlights to the fuse block to clean up the wiring that was running to the battery.

I also installed the ALT-S fuse to allow for proper charging of the AGM battery. I'm getting 14v now. Mini-Fuse Alternator Voltage Booster For Toyota FJ Cruiser, 4Runner & Tacoma | eBay

Build Updates

It's been a while since I've updated this thread. I've made quite a few changes.

Replaced my Toytec Boss Suspension setup for Fox 2.5 w/ DSC and some Dobinson Rear Springs
Replaced my RCI sliders w/ Westcott Design Bolt on Sliders
Replaced my front axles with CVJ Axles
Replaced my tires with Yokohama Geolandar G003 MTs
Installed LiL B's front bumper w/ assortment of Baja Design Lights and Warn Evo 10s
Installed Sherpa Princeton Roof Rack w/ Baja Design switched dome lights and S2 Chase Lights
Installed SwitchPro 9100 to control everything
