Nope. Absolute false. Does not void warranty, I sell these to three Toyota dealers. There is also a law called the Magnuson act that protects you from anyone saying otherwise. [emoji1419]

Just installed mine today. As a heads-up, I cleared it with the dealership prior to buying. Their advice is that to avoid the risk of voiding the factory or extended warranty, buy the dry filter and not the oiled. This makes sense. I had an oiled K&N on my Xterra and it did mess with the MAF sensor that required monitoring and cleaning of both the sensor and the throttle body.
As for the S&B....
Fitment takes some work. The alignment holes require resizing, moving them closer together. The MAF sensor requires extra attention to install correctly, so be careful with this. There is an extra bracket - perhaps for the install of TRD instake box? - that needs to be massaged out of the way. I added some holes to mount the wiring harness (that the MAF sensor runs through) to the box.
Manufacturer instructions say to keep the optional portal open, so I did. Plan to install it in July, maybe, when temps get above 90 degrees on a daily basis.
Overall, not bad for the price. Install could have been cleaner for my 2019 SR5. But, it's up an running. Does have a howl when stomped on, but quiet when cruising. Will think about adding some thermal protective wrap to the tube and maybe some to the box as well....maybe.

NIce. So about 1 more MPG highway, that's decent. And less throttle to move you cause it lets you breathe easier.
Now have sold 20 and this intake is over $100-$150 less than the others. Haven't really gotten any calls with install except one guy that was missing instructions.

I didn't think it was that hard. If you don't feel comfortable just grab a friend that you know is a gearhead and give him a few beers and do it together, or watch him do it while drinking beer. :tongue1:

Yes, it does. I live at altitude as well, and this intake does assist with quicker throttle response and increased torque.
After a tank and a half, I am getting 21mpg. 21mpg is COMBINED city and highway. No CEL. There is a whistle that is now present, under load (not in neutral) between 2k rpm and 2.5k rpm. Will try to track it down at some point, but not too worried about it. I'm thinking it may be from the seal where the CAI joins up to the fender inlet. If anyone has any suggestions or insights, let me know. Still a good buy though. Would still purchase over K&N or AFE.

That isn't what I'm hearing on youtube, here by some folks and on amazon reviews. You are saying there isn't an issue with the hole alignment?

Correct. It's the best one for the PRICE for out of all the ones I've sold.
I have heard that the opening to the bottom of the airbox is difficult to line up on the newest year but it's possible it's just something off a little by Toyota or customer may not have had a beer before install
I think I had a 2019 where customer had to make the one hole larger on intake then use a washer to cover in in case it gets too wide for the bolt. I have most reporting about 1 more MPG driving, which is also nice.
Picked up and installed my S&B intake from Jason back in June. Installation was extremely easy. I did have to bore out one of the holes in the bottom of the air box to make it fit, but we're talking a millimeter or two.
As others have mentioned, about a 1 mpg increase in mpg. No significant power gains (as expected) but definitely a smoother power band.

I did get it installed late last week. It's like a whole new ride with how quick the acceleration pops after giving it some gas! I haven't seen any change in my gas mileage to this point, like some have mentioned, but it has only been a week!

Also, on the sprint booster I've have people reporting about 1 more mpg. Again, this is after you start driving normal and not flooring every few min to test the upgrade
