Is Saddleback Mountain a legal trail? If so what is it like, mostly fire roads, or rather technical? Thanks...

it is a legal trail... its mostly fire roads with technical off trails. over all i would rate the trail intermediate and family fun. its a fun ride with great veiws of all of riverside and orange county on a good day you can see catilina

Sounds like a fun place to waste some time :) we should get a little meetup together, I know theres a few people in the area that may want to join in.

its closed at the moment should be open soon but we could always run through holy jims its open rain or shine any mods on your runner. i was suprized how well my 95 wheels with very little work

I've hit up holy jims a few times. Ive got a factory locker, Michelin LTX A/T 2 all terrains, and I'm installing my new OME springs and adjustable shocks on Tuesday. The rest is mostly Visual (rims, etc...) or A/V related.

holy jims is slowly becoming destroyed its kinda sad but its still fun when it rains still waiting for old saddleback to open i have like two people who want to go so we will plan a good sized run

PM BlairB & HB 4x4 ... they are always down to go.

They have been to Big Bear, Gorman & Saddleback bunch of times...so they can show you around.

Sounds good, In sure pikeman would be interested, I know a few others I could bring along.

I totally hear you on Holy Jims getting destroyed. its all those 16 Yr olds with their 10" lifted Diesels or their Bro Truck Rangers hauling through there doing like 50 MPH.

When you are talking Saddleback are you referring to Main Divide road up? Which way do you enter? Off the 74 or up through Silverado Canyon? Fun trail and it is nice. Another place that is fun but also has a picnic area and forestry service "pit" toilets is Wildomar OHV off HWY 74 just before you get to Elsinore. Most of those areas are closed for the fire season and wont open "til Spring.

***EDIT*** just got off the phone with the Ranger District the OHV park is open again as of Sunday Dec, 20th. For information go here:
