The salting has commenced. I have a pretty much rust free ride by New England standards, fighting to keep it that way. Last week I spray gunned WD40 on the whole undercarriage, and inside the frame. (WD40 is $20 in the gallon can at Lowes). I spray canned WD40 in all the drain holes for rockers, doors, hood, and hatch. I've been Monstaliner'ing with Chassis Saver the frame and underbelly, but not complete yet. I'll coat whatever I can to assure a barrier. This salt season I'll probably WD40 spray it down probably 3 consecutive months. Till the snow is done. Next season I hope to have completed the whole Chassis Saver coating on everything underneath. Then I'll be probably do a Fluid Film and WD40 combo. Just trying to keep an oily waxy barrier from the rust cancer. The whole upper body will be getting a Monstaliner paint job. I really like the stuff, super tuff. My plate bumpers and rockers have it already.
