Ok guys, I know im going to catch a bunch of hate from this but i traded the runner. A guy contacted me interested in trading for his 03 mustang gt. which is what i was looking for. it has 111k miles. I couldnt be happier with where my runner is going. he just had a kid and he wants something bigger he can take his hife and son camping in, and drive around safer. i will miss my runner but i look at it like this, i have had my fun, it got me through highschool without any problems. i was introduced to this site and have made some great friends and have had some amazing time offroading. and it is going to someone who needs it and it just makes me feel better about the whole thing.
NOW this being said, once i start working this month and have a few paychecks saved up i WILL be getting another runner. words cant express the thanks i have for all of you guys. i cant wait to start over with a clean slate I will still be on the forums and hopefully be tagging along on trail runs. :thumb:
Im not gonna lie, the v8 and and 5speed is nice

i will most likely get another 3rd gen. maybe a nice frist gen 22re.

Sounds good. A 1st gen would be nice. Cheaper than a 3rd gen too. Just not as many creature comforts.

Personally, I could never do that. I love my rig, I want to keep/drive it until the wheels fall off.

You should put the engine and transmission from the mustang into your next 4Runner.

Dammmnit ! I know I commented on facebook but I just have to on here now too. Never got to see your runner in person! Well 5spd v8 still sounds nice. Glad to see you plan on getting another 4runner in the future. I think once you own a 4runner you just cant live without one lol.

I had one of those in high school...fun times but got in to too much trouble with that thing! Plus, a Mustang is a terrible car to have with the snow we get. Have fun with it, but be prepared to pay more for insurance, especially if you're under 25.

You'll be back in a 3rd gen sooner than you think...the first time you want to pack the car full of ladies, you'll be wishing for those extra 2 doors!

Thanks for all the advice since I joined! By the way, I finished my Grille and ordered the 02' headlights! I couldn't unfortunately afford the seat covers but we'll see... I have lots more plans! Hopefully, you'll get back to the 4runner world after you get bored of fixing the FORD and driving on pavement!!! I've owned 14 vehicles over the years and my favorites are all Japanese --- my 4Runner and my Honda Prelude.....

yeah im lucky it doesnt snow here haha. as soon as i have the funds ill be back in one
