Strangest thing is happening with sirius radio. My wife calls me that her satellite radio is not working. After she came home I got into the car turn it on and it was working. Next time she gets in the car she calls me that her satellite is not working again. After she gets home I turned the car on and satellite radio is on. I switched key fobs ,but that seems to have no effect. Today I get in the car and satellite radio is not working. I turned the car off and than back on and it was on. I can not figure out what is happening. Anybody experienced anything like this?

Where is she parking? I have noticed if I park in a parking garage or under a large cover, sometimes when I start the truck the signal is out until I restart the truck. It's like it needs to re-initialize to get a signal. Just throwing out an idea...

I make sure I parked outside when I turn car on , where there was a clear reception. I even disconnected the battery to reset the car but that did not work.

Only other thought is that the antenna is going bad, they can go out. The one in my wife's car did within the first 20k of miles, the fact that it works sporadically will mean it will go out on her and work fine for the dealer though. Outside of that I got nothing...

I had the same problem. Was a connection issue with the antenna. It was intermittent like yours. New antenna corrected it.

Bought a new 16 TE in July, got in the truck at the dealer after purchasing it, and switched to satellite the first time, and it wasn't working. Sales people and a tech looked at. They red lashed the stereo, it started working. Drove 10 miles and it shut off again. Restarted the vehicle, and it was working, drove back to the dealership, and it stopped working again. They called xm, resent the signal, but still having the issue.
There was also a static sound that the speakers would make occasionally, but only on the satellite settings, not am/fm

They ended up using a second test antenna to see if that was the issue, and it wasn't, so they had to replace either the entire stereo (what the service manager and sales guy told me) or a module on the back of the stereo (what the delivery driver who picked us up at the airport after our vacation, because they had our new t4r so long waiting on a back ordered stereo, told me).
It works great now.

Could it possibly be a bad HU?

It happens!

Video it with your phone when it acts up and show the service writer, let them check the HU & the updates on the HU.
