In the '06 nav/audio system, the button for AM radio says AM/SAT. I can find no mention of satellite radio in Toyota's literature. What gives? Does this system have satellite radio or doesn't it? Thanks...

So if you had to order something, I presume that means the 4Runner does not already contain the needed hardware? Presumably what you ordered will sit inside the storage compartment between the front seats and plug into the AUX outlet that's in there?

The 4runner and the new navigation units have the "controller" for XM and Sirius, you still require the antenna and tuner module... Its a hideaway module that you plug into the "RSE, RSA, CD Changer" Port in the rear. You can put the module basically anywhere... Im planning to mount it by the factory amplifier.

I have an 05 with Nav. The Toyota XM kit is pretty much plug and play. I used the one for a Solara in mine. From what I've been told, the only difference in the kits for the differant Toyota models is the length of the cabling.
Here is the link to all you would ever want to know about how to install it and pictures on how to take the dash apart:

Once installed, you just press the AM-SAT (or in my case AM) button to cycle through AM, SAT1, SAT2 and SAT3 channels. Everything works and looks factory installed. Even the steering wheel controls work.
