I went and looked at one yesterday
I decided to stop at the dealer for a few minutes and look. Overall it seemed very nice but there were some things I didn't like. I'm sure generally thinking it would have been much better if it was a Toyota.
Inside was nice and well appointed. Center console was a bit strange. Pretty exterior. I didn't like the veiw from the drivers seat. The hood kind of 'humped up' in the middel and would really make parking it difficult becasue you cant tell where the front of the car is. No much room in the third row, but unless a Suburban or a minivan, pretty typical.
There were 2 rather shocking things abaout it. First the price - $38k - loaded but no sunroof. I'm sure they will be (have to) heavily discounting to sell. The other thing was the drivetrain. It operates in front wheel drive unless rears 'need' power. This just seems backwards to me. I would not want it.
Overall - I was happy to get back into my T4R. I was trying to explain my feeling aobut the T4R to a friend the other day. I told him I cant really explain it - but there is just something aobut it that makes it damn near perfect. It isn't the grreatest looking or the fastest or the one with the best mileage or the quietest or anything else - but it is damn near perfect. Y'all understand - don't you?
