So emailed him and asked for a pic. He sends a pic of a gobi rack for $650, not what I was looking for but ok. Oh my what a deal. He also asked me for my address right away in the same email. I already knew shipping will not be cheap. (Red Flag)

Seller said he only takes zelle or venmo (redflag). I told seller I only use paypal. Seller said I can use my colleugue's. I said ok what is it?

Seller: [email protected] with the comments of Make a Family & friends payment. LMK when payment is sent. (red flag)

I told seller sorry I don't even know you and your not my family or friend.

Seller goes "I want it sent as family and friends so i can ship today and send you tracking number. Once shipped" (red flag)

I said sent.

Seller: have me a proof

Me: Apple middle finger icon ..|..

His phone number he text from is (631) 925-6095

BUYERS BEWARE.

Sadly, this is a very common internet scam.

They don’t say what they’re selling. They often say “I have what you’re looking for”, without saying what you’re looking for.

Never do the friends and family payment for Paypal unless, like you said, they are a friend or family.

These sellers usually have a gmail email address. Gmail has too many users to properly monitor. They never use an email from an internet host like comcast, who would have personal information about them.

Your scammer had all the red flags. You were smart to not fall for the scam.

I guess this scammer didn't get it when I gave him the middle finger and called him out as a scammer.

He emailed me today asking if I was still interested. LOL!

Ask the scammers for their bank routing number and account number so you can wire the money to them.

Same person appears to be at it with 2 current ads on our classifieds: end links and timing belt:

Identical phone number provided and requesting a Friends and family payment which would make a PayPal dispute difficult.
