Did you buy it used? If so, it's probably because the previous owner did not put it in "ship" mode before sending it out to you. You're pretty much out of luck from what I've heard. Do a search, it's been talked about a bit in the past.
Same thing happened to me and it couldn't be fixed so I was forced to ship it back and get a refund. It was most likely dropped and the internals were damaged and I doubt it can be fixed.
