Scion t1809 installed - 3 pics

It finally stopped raining enough for me to get it installed. It took me about an hour from start to finish, and ran the iPod cable to the glove box.

Looks great!!! I ordered my t1809 and it should get here Tuesday. I need to order the cable ASAP cause I want to install everything before Jan 1st when I drive up to Denver. How long did it take your cable to get to you? The right cable is SC12235 right?
 
I don't remember exactly how long it took the cable to get here, but less than a week. The guy I ordered from is in Arizona, if I remember correctly, and shipped quickly.
 
Newbie here, I have been wanting to change out the head unit in my 05 Sport. I have been seeing that allot of people are going with this unit. Can you tell me why this one is so popular? I like the look of it and I want to be able to use my ipod so this seems like teh setup for me. Does it work with the steering wheel controls and would you mind telling me a rough price?

I think the reason this one is so popular because it is plug and play and it has 3 pre amp outputs. I recently just picked up one of these for my 99, I know of another one for sale if you are interested. I have read that is HU does work with steering wheel controls. Also another reason I believe people go with these is because other non double din units are pricey. To the OP it looks awesome in your rig! I acne wait to get mine :D

I went with the Scion HU because it was plug and play and I wanted a connection for my Ipod because I was tired of the silly FM transmitter. I was originally going to go with the T1808 because it is fairly inexpensive but found a great deal on the T1809 so went with it instead. The HU and Ipod cable cost me $130.

I believe the Scion units work with the steering wheel controls, MSBX4RUNNER just installed one in a Sport Edition so should be able to confirm that.
