Scratch Touch-up Help Needed

Hi gang, hope all are well. I have a somewhat deep scratch down to the metal right near my gas tank on my 2006 SR5 from accidentally dropping my kayak while pulling it off the roof rack. The scratch is not that big but I am hoping to touch it up somewhat so it is not so obvious. Any advice from folks that have done this in the past? The color code on mine is 1E9 (Galactic Gray Pearl Metallic).

If it's down to the metal, I'd pay a pro to do it. My experience with DIY has not been great. It's very had to do properly.

In your case, I'd be thinking about sanding down the area and spraying it properly (rather than using the brush touch up).

This is good advice. They do it for a living and you have never done it so the penalty for messing up is high

You may want to consider this. While it's intended for touching up paint chips, I was able to hide a 2" scratch pretty well on my wife's car. It was a narrow scratch, though, so it may not work on a wider scratch. It does do a good job on small paint chips, which we get a lot of in Colorado.
