Scratched rear hatch advice?

Got quoted 75$ for a professional to touch it up or $250 to make it ''disappear''. 250 bucks. I'll most likely be going for the 250 ''disappear'' option. sucks something as dumb as opening the rear hatch and unloading some stuff is digging in my pockets for 250 haha, I already put foam on the garage door metal extended part so it won't happen again. I might go ahead and see if he can fix some other cosmetic issues on it like a small dent on the front driver fender that was there when I bought this beast used. But I freaking love this 4Runner hopefully it lasts me 10+ more years until gas gets carbon taxed and phased out.

It's too bad there isn't a way to limit the travel of the gas shock.

Then I would be touching up my noggin instead. When it's cold, the struts don't always extend fully and I hit my head on the tailgate.

That said, mine has a nice bunch of scratches on the tailgate from the previous owner who obviously had shorter doors. I care not. It's the war wagon, my battle machine. At 140k I'm just glad it works as well as it does and still looks "pretty good"

Shoot it looks like someone even scraped my door with a front bumper in a hotel parking lot or something like that. Meh whatever. You don't even see it unless you are looking for it.

I made one of these to eliminate that problem. Can be a PIA sometimes, but no more scratches on the tailgate.
