Alright guys, SCS is looking to add another wheel finish to the lineup for spring. We've gotten a lot of request for silver so we're going to make it happen for you guys. We've been debating back and forth between gloss silver and matte silver.

We can't decide one way or another so this is where your valuable opinion comes in. We always like to get the community involved so here is your chance to give us your input. Please vote if you have a second and if you like neither, let us know what you would rather prefer. Just don't ask for chrome. :spy:

This was a harder decision then I thought it would be haha.

In the end I had to go Matte because that's what I would run on my rig.

Results are going the same way on the TacomaWorld Forum

I had bronze wheels ago on my car and it looked great but your pics seem to a little more "orange". Any chance you can post some close ups of the color. I would love to run a bronze wheel on my 4r but I want that perfect bronze.

Here are some shots of our matte bronze. In person, it's not as orange as you think. The camera setting and/or your screen setting can also play a role in the shading that you're seeing. I know that when I go from my Mac screen to my PC laptop, there's a big drop is picture quality.

I hope this helps.

I would say Matte. I am not a big fan of shinny wheels, even though my current setup is clear coated.

Vin killing me with those matte bronze wheels.

Toyota's Titanium Metallic!! Or probably matte silver... more versatile and should probably look close enough to titanium metallic.

Can't believe I missed this because I think I was one of the ones asking about Silver a few months ago. :wink2:

Given the two choices, I'd say matte silver.

I agree with the post above though, a nice machined wheel looks great on most T4Rs.

I'll throw this out there too... maybe something in a matte silver with a polished lip. As much as I deplore too much shiny on these things, it's rampant with the 5th gen SR5 and LTD, and a bit of polished will make it match better.

Is gloss silver the same thing as chrome? If it is, I say matte for sure...

However, if gloss silver is like the color of say Millenium Silver Metallic 4Runners, that would be SO nice. Im just not sure if I like the idea of a dull-silver... I wish we could see em first! hahha

Is the matte silver like the factory 5-spoke wheels pictured previously in this thread?

EDIT: I vote gloss fo sho.... if your going with silver, you should be stoked for more bling. haha
