got a check engine. and vsc/trac lights came on.
used my little code reader/eraser, and the code was for a misfire? car had half a tank of gas. The shop placed one can of seafoam in tank, one up vacuum hose.
I erased the misfire code, the check engine light went away...but the VSC/trac lights still on. Code reader now says no codes to erase, everything clear...What happened? what to do to get rid of lights?
thanks.

if you are putting it in the main vacuum hose....you must put that back before you shut down or you will get a misfire code...i did and cleared it instantly

the mechanic did this for me...hope to god they had the smarts to do this! Raining out now, I will check this tmrw and reset battery. IF I reset battery, will the 4runner 'forget' things like the rear hatch window setting?

It will, you just have to run them through their full range of motion to reset.
