Sealant on brake hoses??

I'm getting ready to replace the brake hoses on my 98 runner.
Should I apply a sealant on the threads?

No. They will seal themselves assuming the threads and flares aren't damaged.

Sage advice from cash, though I do know folks who will use a tiny amount of anti seize on the bleeder bolts in rust prone ares. If not in such an area, no need to.
