seat belt buckle rubbing off paint

Ok, I need to do a few situps. That said, I noticed that the drivers seat belt buckle has rubbed/scratched the silver color off of the console where it touches/rubs.

Have any of you noticed the silver being rubbed off by your seat belt buckle? I now have a State Farm road atlas wedged between the buckle and the console to prevent further rubbing/chaffing and discoloration.

I never thought about that, but it makes sense, I'll have to take a look at it this afternoon when I get it back from the dealership. Thanks for the tip!
