Seat belt receiver replacement?

Has anyone replaced any of the seat belt components before? I think the receiver part of our rear drivers side isn't working correctly (the part you plug into in the seat). We moved our son up from full car seat (attached using latch) to a booster seat now. However, when he goes to buckle the seat belt, the red release button has to be depressed as you plug in the seat belt. Honestly, I never sat in the back, and he has been in a car seat for the past 5 years, so I don' t know if this is always how it worked. But it doesn't seem right, and not how the passenger side behaves.

How difficult would it be to replace? Just pull seats up undo a couple bolts and replace? Or is there more to it? Any suggestions on where to get a replacement? Dealership or is there an online dealer I can go through? I would assume I want new OEM and not from a parted out / junkyard or alternative manufacture?

I could be wrong but am pretty sure Toyota warranties all seatbelt components for the life of the vehicle. Call your dealer and they'll be able to confirm.

Thanks, I might stop by. I have a feeling that it might be some piece of crud from my kids got lodged in there, but it's working for now. Looks like the price isn't too bad and should be simple enough to do at home. Not sure the hassle of dealing w/ Warranty and having them do the work is worth it. But maybe they will just replace the part.

Question. I've found what I think is the part on a few dealership site pages. Everything checks out according to description. However, all of them have this picture (Part #11). But I don't have the retractable middle belt. I have the old fashioned lab belt. Just want to make sure I'm getting the correct part.

Another quick question. Until I can get it fixed, does anyone see harm in using the center buckle instead? I would assume the buckles and strengths are the same.
