Seat Covers for 2007 4R with side airbags?

I've been searching around for seat covers, neoprene or something else that might be water proof or water resistant, that will work with my side air bags in the seats. Most cover up the WHOLE side of the seat and will block the airbag from inflating properly.

I noticed that wet okle's line allows for the air bag but geesh they are proud of them. ANyone have Wet Okle and how are they? Any other brand/model suggestions for me and my issue?

You can see my install pictures for my Wet Okole's, I have been very happy with them. You do pay more for them but I think the install looks very clean, most of the time unless I point out they are aftermarket people would have no idea. I called an ordered mine on the phone to make sure I got the correct thing. I do not have side airbags but they did ask to make sure if they needed to account for them.

I just went through this drill. I have to have seat covers and chose the CorverKing grey cloth. I have a neighbor who makes drapes etc for extra money. I had her create a nice, stitched opening to allow the seat mounted airbag to work. I almost said, "screw it" but decided that was stupid. To have a friend or loved one injured 'cause I was stupid and lazy would be bad, very bad.

I don't know that the cool neoprene seat covers would be as easy to modify though and when something costs as much as they do cutting them seems sinful.

Good luck and I salute you for being smart enough to worry about affecting something as important as the side airbags.

So you got the grey center and black sides did ya? How does the grey match up? I was thinking all black to hide dirt and stuff.

I actually visited the factory there in Honolulu when I was there with my wife in September. They weren't very helpful nor would they let me buy and ship back home. But then again you wont' find too many helpful Hawaiians to outsiders either. Looks like they have a quality product though.

But I think when you call there phone number you get the California office. Yes I went with the gray and black, the darker gray that I ordered matched up very well with my interior.

Charcoal #11

of course this color looks brown to me but I know the real thing is more charcoal colored.

and black #12?

I have samples here in front of me of

21 light grey
11 charcoal
12 black

I can see how the charcoal/black would be more like the seats but it seems to me the 21 light grey matches more the carpet color.

Yes I went with the #11 Charcoal and Black. Unless they changed something the light grey was really light. I felt the charcoal #11 matched everything better including carpet, but there isn't much carpet exposed anyway in my truck with the Black floor liners installed.

Yeah I hear ya. All the more reason I'm thinking about going all black with black piping and a 4Runner logo on the seat. I contacted Wet Okole and they sent me all the logo's they can put on the back that are Toyota related. I thought 4Runner would look cooler than Wet Okole. I guess I'll have to have them delete the SR5 part.
