Alright gents,
After the meet-up on 22 NOV 2014 at Blazing Bagel that had a great showing of about 10 or 12 4Runners, a few discussed going back out to Tahuya this coming Saturday. As such, here is the plan for the next off-roading trip.
Date: Saturday, 29 NOV 2014
Time: 1000
Location: Tahuya
Park Fee: Discover Pass
In perfect summer time conditions this place is very stock tire friendly, albeit with the use of the rear locker. As we are all aware it has been raining near nonstop for a while now, and I suspect this place will be quite muddy. The mud will certainly make it more fun, but might be too challenging for those with stock tires. However, you're more than welcome to come out anyway and give it a go. At least one member with a winch should be coming… and more than a few of us will have a recovery strap; if you don’t, you probably should.

Sounds like a blast Jim! Im itching to put my new toys (HF winch& MV50 compressor) through the paces too, but I'll be visiting family in Oklahoma for the holiday. Looking forward to hearing the report and about the next trip I can hopefully make :dammit:

Since tires were mentioned, I found a set of 285 Duratracs for $475 in Renton Highlands on Craigslist if anybody is interested.
I'm tempted to get them, but I'm not sure that I want to deal rubbing issues again. With that said, if anybody is interested in my 265 Duratracs, I would be willing to make the swap to 285s.

I am bringing a few straps and a chain and i may have an extra set of tires someone with stock tires maybe able to borrow hopefully i get my 4.56's in by than so i can run my 33's swampers yay!!!!!!:driving:

the first time we went out i think we were on the trails for about 4 hours i think maybe a little longer but we stopped quite a few times since no one had been there before so hopefully this time we wont need to stop as much but it was a blast the first time
