Seattle area 4Runner Meet Up anyone?

Did Tahuya a time or two back in the mid 90s in my 1992 SR5 V6 Pickup. Good fun. I'd be up for that or something our near Rattlesnake Lake or maybe even Eastern WA. Unfortunately, many of the good places are locked down now...

I would link it and move it to the general meet ups thread. No one ever visits the NW threads. I can say I haven't been there in over a year. But the regular meetup/announcements gets more traffic if it's decided to move. You get the most traffic here and the gen discussions/ different gens sections. I say leave it here unless they force the move which will probably happen eventually.

Seems like most that have responded to this thread are able to meet on a weekend and that Saturday is the preferred day.

I say we just pick a date on a Saturday, who ever can show shall, then pick another date in November to meet up again before the weather gets too crappy. And another after it gets crappy and we can go play in the snow.

Few of us up north, I'm in Lynnwood. So we can meet and cruise over (via ferry might be faster) to Tahuya.

Quite a lot, I've seen full size Uhauls on them and dumb trucks. The center of the ferry is the height of two outer vehicle decks. I'd say up to 16feet or there a bouts.

You're right. Now that I think back I do recall seeing some rather tall vehicles on the ferry. I'm in Shoreline just minutes from the ferry so I'd likely meet and ride over with you guys.

In addition to this date, we will get something going for 22 NOV 14; G8RB8_12SR5 will be free that Saturday and hopefully gringo, too.

I have been to Mountain Loop Highway many times. Lots and lots of fire service roads there. Beautiful area, well worth taking your family and some great hikes. nosamk has been out there a bunch, too. I know him and I plan to get out there when the snow falls now that I have some decent tires. Nothing "off-road" like, though it is all dirt roads.

Not sure where you are, but Walker Valley ORV is up north. I went there once, kind of got loss, was alone so decided not to risk anything and came back home. It's about 1hr 20min north of me in Lynnwood, so still not super close.

Well either way I'm good for 10/4 but I am also going on a run not this weekend but the next up Fortune Creek/Gallagher Head Lake if anyone else is interested. Going Sat morning and camping. Trail is doable with a stock rig with a couple obstacles along the way.

Just letting you know, they charge you more if you're over the standard height of 7'6" and ride in the center. Went camping on orcas and they charged me $120 back in July with my rtt.
