Would anyone be interested in going on a clam digging/ camping/ maybe some offroading trip to ocean shores at the end/beginning of the year?

These are dates that have not been for sure scheduled by the state for the beginning of the year with the beaches that would be open.

I grew up going clam digging all the time and have some of the equipment and i have seen lots of muddy trucks out there so i figure there is some good offroading out there.

Does this interest anyone? I am flexible on dates. Clam digging is also fun for the whole family.

I just ordered a 3" rear lift and a 2" front lift for my 4runner. Should be installed by next weekend. Now just have to find a decently priced used set of 285/75/16s. then my rig will be ready for future meets!:frog:

[MENTION=110014]shufly09[/MENTION] and I are going to head out to Fortune Creek Trail in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest outside of Cle Elum Lake On Wednesday, 17 DEC 2014.

Will probably be some snow, but it has been fairly warm so who knowns. This is an easy trail with some bypasses. Easy when dry, the winter weather will make it more difficult, so stock tires might not be the best fit. It's more rock than mud and water as with Tahuya.

If you change it to a closer location I would love to go, Also the weather for out there may cause Ice buildup on the trails with mid 20 degree lows at night.

You guys trying to go all the way to Gallagher Head Lake? Elevation up there is about 5600ft, so there will be some snow up there. But it's been dry the past couple days and warm before that. I'm sure there has been some traffic up there too so you guys might be alright. I don't think there is much snow in the forecast between now and when you guys go. Be safe, and post pics.

So when is the next weekend trip going to happen? Wish like hell we could make these awesome Wednesday trips since it probably not busy on the trails, but whos down for a weekend trip here soon i need to get out of the city and into some woods before i go postal :car:

It is a bit far. It's so beautiful out there. Tahuya is probably a couple minutes closer. But, there are few closer locations that offer "real" off-roading experience that are easy/challenging enough to have fun and not damage the rig that I know of.

Walker Valley everyone talks about and as we know it most of the trails that we would do are closed. None of us really have dedicated trail rigs and all of us 5th Gen people have a few car payments left. There are a tone of fun forest service roads, which is what we did last week. But, it's nice to throw in some additional obstacles and adverse weather every now and again.

Capitol Forest I would be a fun one, but then again that's just forest service roads. Weird dirt/clay mix there, so I bet they have a tone of mud which is always fun.

Do you know of some places closer that are dedicated ORV and does not require crazy body lifts to get over big boulders?

The weekend after Xmas would be good for me. My lift is coming Thursday, should be installed this weekend and I bought 285/75/16's today. so i should be ready to roll by next week.

OME 891 for the rear with 2" front spacers for now. I don't mind doing the fronts again in say 6 months with new coilover's when i can afford it. I have a mismatched set of 285/75/16s that I bought from used tire stores around the area. 2 matching tires for the rear and then right now 2 different tires up front till I can find another bfg all terrain to match a almost new one I bought last week.
I have a total of 6 tires:
2 almost new Firestone destination a/t, 1 brand new bfg all terrain, 1
goodyear wrangler A/t, 1 Sport King Steel radial which will probably get sold cause its skinnier than all others, and a used firestone destination a/t as my spare with 25% tread left.
