Seattle area 4Runner Meet Up anyone?

OME 891 for the rear with 2" front spacers for now. I don't mind doing the fronts again in say 6 months with new coilover's when i can afford it. I have a mismatched set of 285/75/16s that I bought from used tire stores around the area. 2 matching tires for the rear and then right now 2 different tires up front till I can find another bfg all terrain to match a almost new one I bought last week.
I have a total of 6 tires:
2 almost new Firestone destination a/t, 1 brand new bfg all terrain, 1
goodyear wrangler A/t, 1 Sport King Steel radial which will probably get sold cause its skinnier than all others, and a used firestone destination a/t as my spare with 25% tread left.

I have a set of 35's im trying to sell they have nice 16's 3 out of the 4 are at 30% tread the other is shot but 3 are toyo m/t's and 1 is a procomp xterrain but they all have good meat except the one it was the persons burnout tire if ur interested 250 for the set

I'm gonna stick with 33's for now. Thanks for the offer though.

as for locations for the weekend after Xmas, isn't Elbe closed because of lack of funding? Last I heard the entrance was blocked off with logs.

What about Evans Creek or Manastash ridge?

Does anyone who is interested in going have a winch? I don't.

Also do we want to just go for a day or camp?

OK, I have IBS so i know the whole needing a bathroom thing. Ive always wanted to build a hitch with a toilet seat that slides into your receiver. Maybe i will today lol.

I also have 2 straps and 70' of heavy duty chain i can steal from my truck.

Jim82 Washington Trails check this out i dont know if you have seen it, but its a list of trails in WA and their difficulty, length, and where they start it may help for selecting the next destination. Everyone should check it out so we can plan more trips

Not from the area just wanted to say great photos and looks like fun BUT what is up with the 4runner around page 27 being stuck on the tree stump? Was it a super fast growing tree that just came up out of no where?

I have looked at that site, some great info on it. It's a great resource.

So the guy in the photo was looking to avoid a tree stump on the passenger side, and did not notice the stump on the drivers side... Up and and stuck for about 20minutes. Hi-Lift from a local helped us out as well as the biker who went to get the local.

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest

If you don't care to read the trip summary the video is here. It should be in 1080p, so you may need to change it in the youtube settings.

On Wednesday, 17 DEC 2014, after a Burger King breakfast, shufly09 and I sent off from the Seattle Metro for the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Our end goal was to get up to Gallagher Head Lake via the Fortune Creek Jeep 4Runner Trail.

While heading up a slightly snowy I-90 approximately one mile from Snoqualmie Pass, we came upon a small Chevy Truck blocking two lanes of traffic facing westbound in the eastbound lanes. There was a woman (who was not dressed for the winter weather) standing on the side of the road crying on her mobile. As good citizens we pulled over to render aid. Turns out she spun out and crashed in to the guardrail, hopped out of the vehicle and just left it in the middle of the road of our nations longest Interstate. Alex and I got her vehicle out of the middle of the I-90 and pointed the right direction on the shoulder. WSP arrived and we went on our way.

When we entered the Wenatchee National Forest, we were immediately hit with about two inches of snow on the road and snow was falling. Beautiful.

After airing down we set off for Gallagher Head Lake, the video and pictures can only capture a fraction of the peace and beauty this National Forest has to offer. I have been here in the winter and the fall and both were equally breathtaking times.

Persistence prevailed when confronted with a snowy, muddy, icy mess we briefly got in. Though Alex and I lack years of experience in off-roading and subsequently getting stuck in a mess as we encountered, we had the tools and developed the knowhow to get through it.

End result is we did not make it up to Gallagher Head Lake, as it the trail was either closed, or we missed the turn.

Either way, the video and pictures document our journey. I took approximately three hours of video and 50 pictures. Alex contributed the video of my truck and a few pictures as seen in the video. Hard to summarize the experience with a handful of photos and an eight-minute video, but I hope you enjoy it all the same.
