Does anyone know if a factory '99 skid/belly plate will fit on my '97? Member in Vancouver, WA is selling one and I need a set, since I don't have anything right now.

I had Jim from Karchek come out and take a look at the 4Runner today. Very nice guy and would def recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle inspection.
We ruled out everything but the struts and tires as suspects for my accel/decel push and pull. Struts are easy enough to replace but finding some road tires that are more inline with the factory settings that I can be loaned will be more difficult.

If anyone has the ability to loan me 4 16" rims with the tires already on them, as close to stock specifications, for about a week, I would like to work out a deal. It would help me pin this annoying problem down.

i think i can do that....got 4 stockers just hanging out, you just got to hual them up the hill from my back yard...they were the tires and rims that came on the new truck, i think they should be in line with stock specs, i can confirm later tonight, leaving for airport in a bit

Saw a big white SR5 with black flares and no front bumper on I5 south going through Seattle the other morning. Looked like it was on 35s. Quite a bit bigger than my rig. Anyone know who's this is? Pretty sweet looking.

got my lift all finished today, with the UCA part missing, they actually sent me an extra one so if anyone sees someone asking for the ball joint insert thing find this post! will just throw it in my zombie box!

didnt get to my LBJ, found an oil leak and ended up spending an hour or so cleaning and tracing it (maybe oil pan) check on it in a few days and see what happened

Here is my thoughts on this, let me know what you think.
I have 265/70r16's (BF KO) on now and they seem like a more aggressive AT than what you have. So if I can find something milder it might allow me to see a difference.
I have the lifetime alignment and wheel balancing from Firestone which means doing a swap only costs me time in pick up/ drop off and installation.
I think if your still willing to let me try them out, I would like to do so.

Here is a couple i found (any suggestions?)
Les Shaub $?
EZ Wheels $50 hookup through self serve garage (unsure on company)
Firestone $79once/$169 lifetime

Would like to no pay much of course but also want quality/service

Would like to no pay much of course but also want quality/service


When we going to have a LBJ garage day??? Make sure EVERY 3rd gen in pacNW has new LBJ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm doing mine with inner and outer TE's either thursday or saturday depending on how the week goes..... 1 car garage though ...


look into the firestone, as they are a chain store, and the lifetime alignment is universal so if you don't like the shop just find another, i have 2~3 with in reasonable driving distance of me and know for a fact the one in smokey point is setup for large off road tires which can be an issue for some places depending on their equipment, that's the issue with franchises is you don't always get the same machines at each location. the life time is worth it, i'm getting great life out of my tires mainly due to getting my moneys worth from firestone and discount tires with the balance and rotations.

Moving up to Everett this weekend and will try the Smokey Point location for my lifetime alignment.

I would recommend the lifetime warranty, it is recommended to align 4 times a year anyway.
