What was the road like? Would it just be like driving on a singletrack snow road, or is there much for snow bashin?

i've got no clue what the roads look like up there, I didn't hit snow untill I got to the top, but that was back in early december.

Judging on what the weather has been like, theres snow all the way to the top but we probably won't be making fresh tracks. It just hasnt snowed a significant amount in a week or so. But the weather looks like the freezing level is gonna be kinda high this weekend, so It might be wet, slick, week old snow....just my 2 cents, haha
yeah ive learned i can get through fresh powder A LOT better than compact ice tracks. so whos in for sunday then?

probably not going to make it, got a fundraiser Saturday night for very good friend who got rocked on the mountain a few weeks ago, you guys are welcome to come if you'd like , it's at the foggy goggle at Steven's pass, he's a long time local to levenworth and long time employee as well, it would be greatly appreciated if you guys are out riding on Saturday to pop by the pub and have a drink to help out!

Don't get too excited about it. It's only about 400 ft long and it's always over run. I went on one of the test runs a couple months ago. It's a huge improvement over not having it open at all but the trail architects are still learning how to build trails.

Well with all the cancellations, I'm thinking we should postpone the 4runner outing. I may go join the Tacoma guys if anyone else wants to. With my gears still being new, I'd like to have a good group size if we go snow bashing

well I go to school at central but i come home to renton pretty often so if i went id probably be coming from renton if one of these times worked out..
btw, what is up at tinkham? i know theres just gravel roads that lead up to a gate that im pretty sure is closed all the time... does anyone know when that gate is open or if it is ever open ever? or if there is trails that you can get to before that gate?
