I only tried it this morning and then carpooled into work. Will have a chance to check it out again around 5.
It sounded like it wanted to go on first try and then just spinning, whirring noise.
I normally start it by using clutch cancel. So I hopped in and tried by easing the clutch out, finally got it started by the third or fourth time.
Maybe unrelated but might as well toss this in too:
When pulling out of a full stop on an incline I'd get a rubbing/ pressure low squeal sound. This is intermittent but gradually getting more common.

i might be wrong on this but doesn't clutch cancel induce un-needed strain on components....like the starter and ring? from hearing that i think kid might be right on with the gear teeth....or ring gear inside....i haven't ever used a toyota one, but my xj had a high tq starter in it with a button like clutch cancel and was used to get going on steep hills without rolling back, if these work anything alike that's a very bad practice to get in the habit of...i don;t know though as like i said never used a Toyota one and it's even been 10+ years since my xj had one...

Prepare to get your knuckles banged up! Easiest way to get to it is take off the front passenger wheel and the splash guard lining material and try different angles but its gonna put up a fight for sure

meh, depends, camping somewhere further away, don;t really care,if it's a day hike somewhere up mountain loop or 2.....you got anything in mind? anyone else up for a camping trip and maybe a run?

My friend is trying to talk me into an overnight in the Gold Bar area Friday and then a little climbing Saturday. I've got to be back by Saturday night as I'm babysitting my nephews. I want to see a bit warmer temps before I get super excited. It has been a lot warmer over the past few weekends when you get into the foothills. Above the low cloud line that has been persistent around the city.

haha yeah right, i'm right there at the base of the foot hills, i drive the 30ft up the hill to my house and it becomes sunny all of the sudden! let me know when you start getting stoked, at the least maybe just swing by the house on your way out to gold bar i'm right there between monore and snohomish.
p.s.
i got some free toyota truck key chains for you guys when we finally do get together again, buddy at a dealership sold me a box of them for $20, going to hook you guys up with few and try to flog the rest.
seattle guy who've been to a meet and greet gets dibs and then a few more for some of the old timers on the forum, after that i'm probably going to sell the rest for 4 bucks a piece or so if that seems fair...not my auction...

if you can manage to save me one that would be cool, and i think we should try to get out ladys together so they can have girl talk and ***** about how much time and $$$ we spend on our trucks together, while we spend the time and $$$ on the trucks together -or at least talk about doing so lol
