When is the next get together... I just got my 4runner 98 sr5 4wd with 124k... Love it i dont have a lift or anything on it yet but soon. Went and played in the snow today up out of greenwater and thing is a beast. Hope to meet some of you and to get more and more into my truck.

Well with what little driving I've done with them so far they are great. They tuck right under the wheel wells nice. But now it makes me reeeallllyyy want that 3'' lift haha. Think I might go with Land Cruiser coils in the back, and spacers up front.

Also, I was wondering what I need other than a 3" suspension lift to clear 35" tires? heres what ive pieced together- aftermarket UCA's, and possibly a body lift/ if so how much of a bl is required? Thanks in advance!!

Check out the "Offical 3rd Gens on 35's" thread and look at some of their build threads... Seems like everyone is a bit different.

Any particular reason for 35's? I barely fit in Bellevue parking garages with stock tires, and 99 springs.

You can with no body lift but it will take much more to clearance everything. For 35's I would personally recommend at least a one inch body lift. If I were too do it again, I'd do a 1.5 inch body lift. Other wise there is much more trimming, pounding, relocating, etc.

Edit: that's not her. Thought it was black at first glance and she has KM2s not Toyos.

Yeah went up out of greenwater saturday and there was about a foot of fresh up there. Im running stock right now but it was fun just playing around... im done to meet one of these days...

I'm having an easier time finding used 35's than 33's, and if its just putting uca's and a bl on then I think it's worth it especially if it makes a difference off road? I hope I'm guessing right? Do people usually notice a big difference between 33's and 35's (who off road)? If I was to do a 1.5" bl, would it be easy to find aftermarket bumper/(s) that work/ fit good with a 1.5" bl??

Lol, I guess I'm going to have to give up garage parking sometime down the road, it's funny cause I thought I wouldn't be able to fit into Bellevue college's garage, finally did it today and have good clearance! I wish I would've known that before 3 weeks into the quarter....

To clear 33's, all I had to do was cut plastic. To clear 35's, I had to cut and weld metal.

33's to 35's was night and day for me, but I also switched from an AT to a MT at the same time... I would think that tread design made the larger contribution. I think a 34 would be the sweet spot - thats my goal for the next tire I buy.

Keep in mind he has a SC and still wanted to re gear too when he went to 35s. Thats the main reason I don't think ill go to 35s. I daily drive mine, don't want to re gear and I'm not getting a supercharger either.

Going into the bushes on Sunday the 21st to play. If you have nothing to do, come and play. Kids, wife, girlfriend, and dog friendly. Snow wheeling. Nothing crazy. Going to Tonga Ridge. Can get up to 4800'. Haven't been there in a few weeks but I know last weekend there was 3-6 ft. of snow at 2,000 ft.
