Last time I checked, it was called Gallagher Head Lake, not Brian's Lake. There isn't that many people going, we've gone up in bigger groups.

Since I am just making a day trip of it I don't really care when I leave. If 10:30 is too early for you, I'd be willing to wait and show you the route.

Just wanted to say hello to all you local 4runner heads. I've been on this board for a while and just stumbled across this thread. Admittedly I'm not on here that much but I'm glad to see there's quite a few of you guys that go out quite regularly. I was just camping up there at Gallagher head lake a couple of weeks ago. I'm always down for day trips or even camping trips. In fact, I'm currently on the hunt for the best camp spots in washington.

If you guys are down to have another guy tag along one of these days let me know. It would be fun to meet some other 4runner enthusiasts.

Here's a pic of my whip. 97 limited with SS 1.2 lift, with 285/70/17s Duratracs. I'm up here in the Northend (Shoreline / Edmonds area). If you see rolling around don't hesitate to say hi.

Went out with a group from Tacomaworld today... Kinda. Due to the weather all of the Tacomas backed out and we were left with just [MENTION=105773]busmup808[/MENTION], [MENTION=82154]GSPRunner[/MENTION], and myself. A couple Tacomaworld folks were out there a little later in the day, but they didn't count.

Wet day. Cold day. Miserable weather. Great day in the PNW to get out, see some fall colors, drink some beers, and hang out with some good folks.

Watched a diesel Disco winch himself out from a "stuck" situation that none of us really understood. I didn't take any pictures, but Joe did.

Then the infamous hill climb at the top of the trail here... Piece of cake when it's dry, but the rain made for a slippery ride.

This was the best neature(sic) shot I took today... A waterfall that wasn't there a few hours prior, fog rolling down the mountain into the valley, and some great colors.

As we were airing up a slick looking 5th gen pulled up. Turns out [MENTION=92539]Panzerpatty[/MENTION] was a bit late to the party. However, he wasn't going to let that end his day, so him and his wife headed into the hills, as we headed to town for a burger and beers.

Every time I click on a thread with you guys in it, your out having fun. I Dig it!

We ended up driving around and exploring until 2AM. Saw your friends camp at the lake, it looks super miserable, RTT was swaying in the wind a fire slowly burnt out they had went to bed.

2 Things happened that we should keep in mind while we are tooling around up there: 1) I saw a fresh wash out on a back trail that would have totaled our trucks. Or trapped us. 2) On the was out we had to drive over 2 trees that had fallen while we were up in the mountain, I'm going to bring a chainsaw next time.

Pretty awesome spot!

I misunderstood how to get to the lake. The '301 intersection' has 3 ways to go, we took the right path instead of the correct middle path. Drove down that for 45min or so until we couldn't go an farther because the road was just gone for about 40 feet.

I also went right my 1st time there. To the right is a dead end, pretty valley though. At 45 mins you were probably most of the way down that road.
