About time!
I'll be out of town this weekend, but will be attending Toys for Tots on the 6th of December.
Anyone else going? I have a group of 5-6 buddies that usually come with their 4Runners and Landcruisers.

I'll be sure to put a 1/2" layer of wax down.
My wife and I are planning to camp up in Whistler sometime this snowboarding season. In preparation from that we're going to test out our new heating setup this Thanksgiving in my parents' driveway.

That's way too rich for my blood.
Cabelas had a sale on their Little Buddy Heaters a couple weeks ago, so we picked up the Little Buddy Portable for dirt cheap. My plan is to have it burning down in the annex, and leave the door to the sleeping area open. My thought is that the heat will rise and warm the tent.
My father has been using the Big Buddy (4,000-18,000 BTU) for many years in his hunting trailer and it gets HOT in there... Hoping this little guy, at 4000-9000 BTU, can heat my little tent, and perhaps assist in drying our wet snowboarding shells/boots.
While I am aware the Propex units are ideal and more efficient, they have a max output of 9500 BTU.... Makes it hard to justify the cost, for me.

Like I said, I've slept in a camp trailer with one going all night. It has NEVER tripped the carbon monoxide detector.
To be sure I'll use a detector, but I think it'll be overkill.
It creates a little Carbon Monoxide but not much I have a big buddy for the garage and have use the buddy in tents. They also list tents up to 200sqft as one of its uses.
Also have an Oxygen depletion sensor for extra security.

I have one of the older model little buddies, works great for tents, larger 8-10 person ones. The only problem is its full blast or nothing, so you wake up super sweating hot, turn it off, then a few hours later wake up super cold, then turn it on. I never trusted the plastic stand in a tent so I would keep a old concrete cinder block with me and place the 2 pound Coleman propane cylinder in one of the holes, so to be sure it won't tip over. Yeah it turns off if not upright, but it has burned holes in tent floors and other material. The new ones look like they have a ring around it to prevent this, but still better safe then sorry.

Plan is to have it secure to a weighted down milk crate, powered by a 10-20lb tank that I'll have outside of the annex. I need to do a lot of research on how to safely and properly handle propane, but it seems fairly safe...

There you go, that will be way cheaper th n using this expensive little bottles, plus if you have a grill or something else you can also use that same tank. Propane can be stored for very, very long lengths of time and not spoil like gasoline does so the tank size doesn't matter. All in all p opine is fairly safe, yes accidents do happen but the properties of the liquid/gas are such that things have to be absolutely perfect for it to be dangerous. For example is flammable range is very narrow 1.6-9.5 % gas/air mixture or close to those numbers, anything lower or higher and it won't burn. Look up B.L.E.V.E. So you know more about locating the tank away from heat sources not that it matters, propanes auto ignition temp is like 900 degrees on the low side, which is high it pretty much needs to be in contact with flame for the tank to reach that temp. You figure, millions of boneheads a day are exposed to propane in one way or another and very rarely do you hear of something bad happening.
I've actually been researching the cost and regulations of having a 600 gallon tank buried in my backyard for disaster preparation, then getting a generator and fridge to work off of the gas, it's ideal because of the long storage ability of the fuel.
