Great! I am hoping to meet some people off this forum while we are there.

Last year, I drove in with our stock rig, thinking it would just be fun to see some of the stuff people outfitted their vehicles with. I left with a list of stuff I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT! I am about half way through that list, and can hardly wait to see how many thousands of dollars more I can commit to with what I no doubt will add to that list this year.

I will look for you.

I just didn't mention him because I didn't want people to be able to track his whereabouts. He has a lot of(1) enemy on here...
 
Lol! Yeah, I'll be out there again. Considering just bringing cash so once it's gone I'll stop buying things. Being intoxicated next to all those vendors was an expensive mistake last year.

LOL - I wasn't even intoxicated. I was also very happy with my stock 4runner until I went to that rally. Bringing just cash won't help, I bought all my expensive toys after the rally because as I drove out, my very robust stock 4runner suddenly seemed completely inadequate. It was a very expensive year.
 
I hate to interrupt the banter, but does anyone recommend a good shop up north to fix a rear pinion seal? I'd also love to have the same place do the tundra big break kit as well. I called Torfab and they can't get me in until the end of August which kind of cramps my camping style. Andy's auto who I also like is about 2 -3 weeks out.

Love to get it done sooner, but will wait for Andy's if I have to.

How far north are you talking? I found a good, fair priced shop in Everett.

Am also thinking, if you wanted to tackle the Tundra brake upgrade yourself, maybe we could time it to do yours and mine at the same time.

Yea, that was weird. You ended up staying down the street.

Even more random is that trip someone the gf works with, like in her team of 15, they stayed in the same hotel as us that weekend. We ran into them at breakfast.

I ended up just getting on the list with Andy's automotive. They've always treated me right and seem to know their way around a 4runner. Ironically, when I bought my rig it came with 13 years of service history at Michaels Toyota. Perhaps I should have called them but alas I went with Andy's.

As far doing the Tundra brake upgrade, I'm totally down with tackling both rigs at the same time. I'm not the best wrench out there but it seems to be pretty straight forward. I wonder if anyone else needs this done - maybe we make a tundra brake upgrade party out of this.
