I love your guys threads too. Always refreshing to see how folks here use their 4Runners. Too build threads of folks bolting on parts and posting pics of them on the driveway! I'm partially guilty of that too! Haha.

Not really T4R related but it is my thread and I did use my runna to transport us! Did a 23 mile backpacking trip to The Enchantments near Leavenworth, WA. Colchuck Lake-Aasgard Pass.

If you were to do your rear locker over again, would you stick with the ARB air locker or go another route? I ask because I'm in the same boat. I love my '13 Pearl SR5 Premium (w/ 3rd row) and likely wouldn't trade straight up for any other model due to the options and color I have.

With that said, I'm looking to add a locker soon, as well as skids and potentially sliders....and want some input. Mods in my sig.

I would stick with ARB. Great customer service and troubleshooting plus they've been in the off road community for over 30 years. Not to mention ARB USA is just a 20 minutes drive from me.

The ARB unit is pretty indestructible. Machined steel vs cast oem. You will break other things in your differential before the locker itself goes. Only thing is you have to make sure you get a reputable installer, folks that know how to install air lockers. The important things to watch for during the install are the two seals, bulkhead o-ring(don't crush) and routing of the air line. I've had my locker installed a year ago and added 15k miles since. Never had an issue with leaks or engagement while on the trail.

I love the build you have here. I'm really interested in that Addicted Offroad bumper you have; I like it's minimalist design. Out of curiosity, how does it affect the air intake routing for the stock air box? I believe that the air intake draws in air from the front fender area. Is the intake ducting now exposed to the elements with this new bumper setup?

With the AOR bumper you will be exposing the intake to the elements more-so than the OEM bumper cover. Once the AOR bumper is installed you need to trim both fender liners. The intake is in the right side fender so what I did was use a heat gun to mold the plastic liner up toward the fender to help give protection to the intake against water, sand, debris, etc.

So far I haven't had any issues.

I was just talking to a buddy about doing parts of the WABDR next summer and low and behold, I stumble on this thread. That trip looks like a blast. I'm kinda surprised your views weren't a little more smoky, with all the forest fire we had this past summer.

I am not aware of their store front but ARB USA headquarters is here. If you call ahead of time you can just drive to their warehouse to exchange a warrantied item. Can't imagine having to ship back an awning or refrigerator.

Man, great pics and build thread! I stumbled upon this thread researching my Factor 55 hawse fairlead. I am swapping out my steel cable for synthetic and I am just hammering out a few small details. I also have an AOR front bumper, but a third gen. I am on the 4runners of Washington FB page and have seen your rig around town. I am sure our paths will cross one day. I just missed the last big Tahuya trip that you guys went on. I was still needing to sort out clearance issues with the new wheels that have since been sorted out. It looks like everyone had a blast though.

I paid retail for it plus an additional $40 for RCI to get it powder coated. 3 years later, the coating is still holding even with numerous scratches and flaking around the bolt holes.
