last night while looking up IS 350's... I came across to an GS350 F Sport for the same price.. I know is an year older but for the same price if not less. I can get an GS350.. I might be heading that way.. I really like the IS but the back seat leg room is pretty tiny... where as the GS350, is bigger. roomier and it looks damn good with the F sport package. I found a few starting at $31k and is an cpo.. if things goes well.. I will be purchasing an GS350 over an IS350.

after calling Lexus Financial (who do the warranty paperwork) I was told by a rep and who also confirm via his supervisor over the phone that any warranty work would have to be done at a authorized lexus dealer. which in my case there is none in the whole state of ND. the nearest one is in Minneapolis MN, which is 550 miles away. I don't like the idea of taking 3 days of vacation to go get my vehicle.

upside was if it was valid warranty work, they would come pick up the vehicle, but then again its my dime to go get it after its done.

well i haven't heard back from there but the dealer in the bay I contacted have an 13 GS350 F-sport just came back from an lease.

it has 27k miles and they are asking $37k. I offered them $33k otd for it.. I haven't heard back from them yet but if they agree to $33k, I be walking away with the GS350 this week. is $33k an okay price for it? or should I have went with an different price?
 
well I looked in my neck of the woods Minneapolis, MN and a 32k mileage GS350 AWD is going for 37k.

Well, they replied and didn't take it. They are staying firm at $36k. Should I hold my ground? Or up another $1k to $34k out the door?
 
Your budget is your budget. There will always be another car. If they won't deal then find something else unless you really want that particular car.
 
yeah, I'm looking around for another gs350 f sports around the bay but all the other ones the mileage is a lot higher.
 
yeah. I offered them $33k.. give it two weeks, if it doesn't sell. they be calling.. but i can not see myself in an IS anymore.. is just too tiny..

I was looking at an E class but those don't hold value.. and isn't reliable..

I have no idea about it...but I see the Hyundai Genesis (current model) to be very nice and good value. Anyone consider it? It is kinda like a GS in terms of luxury and sportiness.
 
yeah I have looked at the genesis 3.8 awd (only can get the 3.8 in awd, no v8).

but a lot of people cant get around its a Hyundai, but they are trying the same thing when lexus first started up, beat BMW, Merc, Audi at there own game. Hyundai is trying to do the same to lexus.

now the Equus is really trying to compete vs the LS460 and is on par for about 20-25k less than a LS460.

Is just in my driving position, the back seat is next to nothing.. I drove the GS350 and it has plenty of room in the back seat.. I'm 6'1.

is after test driving it, i realize i can't do an compact luxury car anymore..

Thai, I tried an Hyundai.. but i can't seem to do it. is hard to wrap my mind around it

An Hyundai is an Hyundai.. is like a Benz is still Benz at the end of the night. Don't get me wrong, Hyundai has came from a long way and their new cars looks amazing.. plus the warranty.. my neighbor had the whole tranny replaced on their santa fe and it cost them nothing..

I like Lexus cause is reliable and it holds is value overtime.. it doesn't cause an arm and leg to fix like its german competitor.
