Sequoia as a replacement?

I currently have a 2010 SR5 that is getting up in mileage, looking for something a little bigger and something that may pull my trailers (boat, sleds, etc) a little easier.

Who also has a Sequoia and what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance

13 city / 17 highway...
 
We shopped the sequoia but decided against it. it is definitely more truck, but didn't suit our needs 90% of the time (would be great for travel/trailering tho).

I told my dealer I'd be happy to pay full msrp and then some if he could bring in a Land Cruiser...he said no deal.

New Sequoia is coming out early next year I believe (this is based on what I read). I'd wait for the new one. Early reports say it will have the same front end look as the latest Tundra (which I really like).

We went to the dealer to look at both the Sequoia and the 4R. It was a black SR5, and was cost more than the fully loaded 4R. Love the height, extra space and exterior look of the Sequoia, but the interior is very dated. Exterior is dated too, but it still has a nice look. Instrument panel is ugly in my opinion. Instrument panel reminds me of an old Corolla I drove a few years ago. Can't beat the space in the third row though.

You really need to determine if you want to spend the extra money on both the higher priced Sequoia and fuel. The one we drove was a monster, and you can tell it's chugging the gas.

That has been a negative, it does look pretty dated, but you really can't beat the size. I have been looking around for used ones and they are extremely hard to find.

Problem is he's in Canada and looking at a 30% premium just because of the change in CAD/USD over the last year.

I think it was [MENTION=1032]NoDak[/MENTION] that suggested looking at a Lexus LX in Canada rather than importing a Land a Cruiser from the US. He's probably my right, you'd be around the same price point.

it is dated since it hasnt changed since 2007 like the tundras had not either. they will most likely refresh the interior as well like they did when the released the 15 tundras. Just wait for the 16's to roll out if it has been updated.
 
We looked at the sequoia for my wife. They are nice, although definitely behind the Tahoe in options and technology. Couldn't get myself to get a Chevy so we ended getting a 2015 GX460. Had the new sequoia model been out, we may have ended up going that route.
 
Oh yea! Get the GX...no question. I'd have to sell my children and maybe my dog to make that happen however...

Wife'd not be too happy driving it tho...

You could easily import one from the US. A slightly used one will run you almost the same price as a brand new 4R Limited - even with our pathetic dollar at the moment.

22 on the highway in a Tundra? No, he doesn't get that. Not even close.
