Chryco has made some good strides in reliability...however we really won't know how good for a few years. Vehicles they made just 5 years ago have proven NOT to be very reliable. Design is one thing...manufacturing process is another. Just because they redesigned it...doesn't mean it's RELIABLE. Only time will tell. Back in the 90's Chryco came out the Plymouth Acclaim...It was touted to be the "Accord Killer" (honda Accord was the number 1 selling car in America at the time). It got rave reviews for it's design and initial quality....It was a reliability disaster for Chryco.

Jump on the band wagon if you want....I hope they do well...But personally I'll wait until they've PROVEN to build quality vehicles again. Not HOPE that finally started. I keep my vehicles for 8-10 years and usually have over 300k miles when I sell them. I don't have $40k - $50k to waste on HOPING the car I buy is going to be reliable.

Agreed, when I vehicle shop I want something proven reliable, like Toyota. A company would have to have years of reliable reputation before I'd consider. Even if Chrysler turned things around tomorrow, they'd have to prove it to me for 5-10 years that it's an actual effort and consistent before I'd think of buying something from them.

I sat in a 2011 Ford Edge Sport yesterday, completely fully loaded with Nav/MyTouch/Sync/Panaramic Roof/Sony Stereo etc etc etc. It looked EXTREMELY cool. All the touch screens, toys, sound, buttons everywhere and gotta say a sexy looking CUV overall, but I couldn't stop thinking how/if everything would be working in 5 years from now. I have no doubts in my 4Runner, even considering it's 7 years older than that particular Edge.

MyTouch has a lot of bug. Laggy.. and hangs... this comment came from my boss who drives a Ford Edge. He said that it is the biggest mistake of his life.
