Her first new car was also a 6MT, LSD equipped, supercharged MINI.

I'm an engineer to a fault. We were planning on kids soon and I have a plethora of off road capable vehicles at my parents' house (3 Tacomas, 2 are TRD offroad). The Highlander probably fits our needs better than a 4Runner 80% of the time. My emotional side wanted the 4Runner, but I wanted her unbiased opinion.
