Nice video. I drove from the top down in an Nissan Armada and puckered a couple of times. There were two couples in rental Jeeps that had to turn around because one of the passengers was feeling sick.
 
Great video! I love that road. Nice and flat and smooth, and the views are awesome. Yeah, you can't go to sleep on it, but in truth it's not more dangerous than driving 65 mph on a two-lane road with oncoming traffic. Just have to stay within the lane boundaries. It's the exposure that gets to people. Takes getting used to.

I've often wondered what it was like when they were driving 25 ton, underpowered and under-braked uranium trucks up and down that road in the 50's. Bet it took a solid hour to pull the grade. That would have been an adventure, for sure!

Next time I'll shoot it in the rain and see how fast I can climb up.

Two-way, plus mountain bikes. There's generally room to meet if everyone is courteous and careful. You do want to approach the blind corners with some caution, so you or someone else doesn't get run off the road.

Great video and thanks for sharing but I've got to agree that it doesn't seem very bad at all. I feel like I've driven in worse/more dangerous roads around the mountains here in Washington.

I'd still love to get out to Moab one day :biggrin2:

I was going to say the same thing about a 2 lane road. The nice thing about a cliff is that it can't get drunk and swerve into your lane, or decide it needs to send a text message, or fall asleep.....you get the point. Looks like a beautiful road though. Thanks for sharing the video OP!
 
It's the POV camera that makes it look dicey. It's just a rather wide two-track dirt road with a bunch of tight curves with no guard rails.

We've been up and down that puppy many times and I don't think anyone was ever skird.

Now there's a couple of blind curves on the White Rim that could be problematic if you are going too fast.
