Shake when accerlerating

Hey guys hope someone can help. I just scored a 92 4runner 3.0 5spd super cheap but when you drive and accelerate it shakes and shimmies like a bad rear u-joint, I have checked and that is not it. The guy i got it from said that he thinks its the tranny but he is not mechanicly inclinde.

So starting out in 1st is good then i shift to 2nd and get a shimmie and shake until 2600rpms then it stops for a second and then comes back at 3000. Shift to 3rd and it shakes the whole time until i let off the gas. All gears after that are the same. any ideas thanks for all the help

Bent drive shaft? Have you checked the fluid levels in the tranny/tcase? Check enigne/tranny mounts?

Just rambling off some thinks....

1)check driveline mounts
2)control arm bushings(front and rear)
3)wheels/tires improperly balanced (go to dealer, they have centering device)
4)ball joints/tie rod assemblies/ center link, etc..

U nailed it. Bent Drive shaft. but i also have a dead/clogged fuel injector on #6.
