Thinking aabout pulling the trigger on Sherpa's new base plate. Its $250 and even less with black friday 15% off. Can anyone attest to the quality of products from this company?

I can attest to the quality of their products and the engineering that goes into making sure they are correct.

I've got their 4Gen roof rack and have been to their facility multiple times looking into some of the products that they have been working on. This included the baseplate and drawer systems. All top notch and well priced.

I've heard all positive feedback as well. Now that they are doing the baseplate, I'm hopeful they will roll out an aftermarket sliding cargo tray alternative. :behindsofa:

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like a winner! Just would like to see the underside and what kind of reinforcement there is. A fridge and slide are pretty dang heavy to be mounted to plywood. I'm not an engineer by any means but I could see it possibly being a disaster in a bad accident. With that being said I also realize its better then trying to hook it to factory tie downs which wouldn't work at all with a slide.

Email them. I have their rack and about several accessories, and they are incredibly responsive on email and will answer any question you have thoroughly.
