Depending on what you are buying this sale can actually net you a lot more savings.
It is the front piece of the rack over the windshield designed to deflect the wind over the rack and minimize and wind noise. Full is for no lightbar, half allows for the use of a single row lightbar.

Absolutely not, the roof track is the only thing providing any rigidity to the already weak 3rd gen roof. Some people even go as far as reinforcing the roof from the underside if they plan to really loud serious weight on their roof.

Been lusting over the gear on your site and te budget is growing in your direction! I have a question about your 3rd gen baseplate. When it says, "the carpet must be removed" Are you referring to the "semi-glued down carpet with the insulation touching the frame" carpet or easily removable carpet pieces that came with my 99 Limited? And if I chose longer bolts for the connection points (allowing for the stock carpet), is there an issue that you have discovered? Thanks for your time.

The 3rd gen requires removal of the carpet mat but not the actual carpet. I think you may have misread on the website or may have been looking at the 4th gen which does require removing the actual carpet.
Hopefully, this clears everything up.
