My favorite way to mount stuff now is with end-feed fasteners. They are little ovals with a tapped hole that go into the 80/20 slots. It's a lot cleaner than carriage bolts which have to stick out of the slots.

Nice. Have any pics? Are they found at general hardware stores or at more of a specialty item?

I found them on McMaster Carr. They are cheap. Just search for t-slot nuts and you’ll find them.

We have undergone a name change. We will be updating all of our T4R info as we can.
While we have always had big plans for the business, we never expected it to grow the way that it has. We have our loyal customers to thank for that. With this growth, we have always felt limited to making roof rack systems due to a name we established, what seems like so long ago. We strive to provide our customers with reliable and top-notch equipment that takes any stress and hassle out of securing and storing your gear to your vehicle. Making the focus of your adventures on the things that matter most. Our customer Brandon Hutchens said its best, “A Sherpa as in a mountain expedition leader. They’re the guys who get you up and down the mountain without any issues.”
As with any company rebrand, we need all the help we can get to spread our new name out to the community to help with any likely confusion.

We have also added the option to purchase Tnutz on our website. These make adding accessories a breeze. You can just drop them into the tracks without unbolting the sideplate and screw the properly sized 1/4-20 bolt for your accessories in.

I was going to pick up a few of these little guys, Drop-In T-Nut — Sherpa Equipment Company , for my rack, but it says that you only have one. I was going to see if I could add a few to my order. Do you know when you might get them back in stock?

Universal Load Bar System is now available.
To provide people with an alternative to the outrageously priced load bars. These will be able to handle the weight of a tent and an awning. Can be used for ski racks, cargo box's you name it. You also get the modularity of the track system.
They have no wind noise up to 80mph (as fast as my 3rd gen will go). A set of two starts at $250. Compared to spending $400 plus on the competitors. We have a few size options as well as options for different roof contour, the "flat" version work great for our 3rd gens.

Prinsu carbon copy?
Hey Sherpa team,
I'm in the middle of shopping for a 3rd gen rack so I've done a lot of research recently. Frontrunner, Prinsu, RMR.
I'm all for free market and I love the energy you guys have with your product. The one issue I have is how close your design is juxtaposed to our fellow forum supported company, CBI/Prinsu. If you put a RMR side by side to the long standing Prinsu, it almost looks like a copy of their existing design.
Being that Prinsu was first to market with this design, I'm trying to decide why to select RMR over Prinsu? What makes your rack unique and why should I consider supporting your company over CBI/Prinsu with purchasing a full length rack?

Prinsu was the original, and then CBI bought out Prinsu from Heretic. Prinsu simply capitalized on an opportunity to grow a product. There are many racks out there that are "similar", but all have differences. Racks like RPM, Rokmen, LFD, and the list goes on.
I probably have the first Prinsu half rack, and bought it before Zach sold the company to CBI. Nice rack, but I'll build my own next time and save a ton of money.

While I'm not part of the Sherpa team of course, upon emailing Prinsu in Jan 2018 I learned that they did not have any rack for us (3rd gens). I wanted a smaller "half" rack in aluminum. Nothing like that existed at that time for us.
As I recall, then Rocky Mountain Racks had been selling its full-length Matterhorn rack since the summer of 2017.

This is a question we have answered more than once which is fair. A similar design for sure. We bolt aluminum to extruded crossbars. Simple as that.
We have worked very hard improving upon the design and building a company that focuses on our customers and attention to our product line. We started our company in the undersupported 3rd gen 4runner market as there were no options for these trucks of this style. We brought to the table our improvements and ideas. Including a much different mounting system that is superior in strength and simplicity. Bolting straight to the track system of the 3rd gen 4runner. We also added in very useful tie downs, handhelds, and our own unique shape that catered to our needs. We also use much higher quality components, 1/4" 6061 aluminum side plates, 3/16" 6061 aluminum wind fairing, and 5052 1/4 aluminum feet and lastly all stainless hardware that will not rust even when not painted.
We feel that we have pushed the market for the 3rd gens in a positive direction with Prinsu releasing their own 3rd gen roof rack about a year after our product release and other companies providing market support as well. With people jumping on board with our product we have continued to innovate and push our products into other markets as we continue to grow.
If you were to compare our rack and a Prinsu rack in person you would be pleasantly surprised to see the differences and the options each rack will provide you. At the end of the day it comes down to preference and that is ok with us.

I ordered a Matterhorn at the end of May. So I guess we are starting into week five. But I did opt to have mine powder coated, which adds a bit of time. I think they have been pretty busy.
I'd say reach out to them via their web page, ( Contact — Sherpa Equipment Company ), and let them know your situation. If it is looking like you will be moving before it ships, then see if they can hold shipment or send it to the new place. They are good people and should be able to get you taken care of.
